WHAT WE BELIEVE

Welcome To Foothill's Website!
Foothills MBC is a new church being established in the Dewey/Humboldt Communities of North Central Arizona.

The Missionary-Pastor is Bro. Stephen C. Bailey. Bro. Stephen established the Landmark MBC in nearby Prescott Valley, and Pastored it for almost 12 years before accepting God's calling to move back onto "the Mission Field".

Chris & Kathy Fairchild and Vernon & Gerry Mayo, along with the Bailey Family (Stephen, Saundra, Sierra, Shyanne, and Sedona), have committed themselves to the establishment of a sound and progressive New Testament Church in this fast growing community!

Milestones In The Work:

1.January 6, 2002 - God works through His churches as Pastor Stephen shares his burden for this "mission field" with the Reyburn Creek MBC and they subsequently called him to serve as their missionary.

2. The name "Foothills Missionary Baptist Church" is chosen for the new work.

3.September 1, 2002 - We held our first services in Pastor Stephen's home with 9 in attendance!

4.September 22, 2002 - first public services held in Bradshaw Mountain Middle School in Dewey with 14 present (5 first time visitors!)

5. November 24, 2002 - Organization Service for the new Church! Six founding members covenanted together to form a body of Christ and pledged committment to the Word of God, His Worship and His Work!

6. March - April 2004 - First baptisms: Stephanie Hill, Alex Hans, Sierra Bailey, Brianna Hans, Billy & Michelle Hans, AJ Hans.

7. September 2004 - We acquired our building permit. Weather delayed beginning of construction until March 2005, when the pad was poured for our future 50 x 100 church building. The building was erected April 2005 and work is currently under progress to finish it!

8. March 2005-October 2006 - We continued to work on our church facilities, with our members, visitors and friends from sister churches volunteering to do a vast amount of the work. In November 2006 we began meeting in the new facilities!

OUR OWN CHURCH FACILITIES!
Here's a picture of the Sanctuary end of the building. We have a facility that can serve 80 in Worship, Sunday School and Fellowship Activities. We are grateful to God for the blessings He gave us through our sister churches to be able to build this facility with very little financial debt!
